Blade Runner 2049 Review
Blade runner 2049 is a sequel to the 1982 film Blade Runner and one i saw late last year but it has stayed with me ever since. For those of you who don't know or haven't seen the original the film series is based and inspired by the book Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick which follows the idea of what it means to be human and what are the qualifications that would make us " Human", The films follow the same ideas and beats. 2049 follows Officer KD6-3.6, or 'K' for short played by Ryan Gosling , an android or how they call them in this world "Replicant". K is a member of the LAPD tasked with finding and 'Retiring' other rogue replicants, the people and replicants tasked with this job are called Blade Runners. When retiring one said replicant he finds a truth that shouldn't have been found and so the story begins. I quite enjoyed this film i'm sure enough to say its top 5 for me.
