Whiplash is a 2014 movie starring Miles Teller as Andrew Neiman an aspiring drummer looking to make his name in the jazz industry like many great jazz players before him. He manages to get in to the Shaffer conservatory of music, one of the top music schools in the country, where late one night while practicing he runs into Fletcher, a tough music teacher who will stop at nothing to realize the potential of his students.This was director Damien Chazelle's first feature film inspired by a topic he loves, jazz. I really loved this movie and it made me a big fan of the director as his attention to detail is amazing especially in the music department. there is an extreme focus an attention to detail to the music in this film to the point where Miles Teller actually played the drums himself instead of a double through out most of the film. this is especially impressive near the end of the movie in which he has to play an extremely difficult and long drum solo. Blade Runner 2049 Review

Blade runner 2049 is a sequel to the 1982 film Blade Runner and one i saw late last year but it has stayed with me ever since. For those of you who don't know or haven't seen the original the film series is based and inspired by the book Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep   by Philip K. Dick which follows the idea of what it means to be human and what are the qualifications that would make us " Human", The films follow the same ideas and beats. 2049 follows Officer KD6-3.6, or 'K' for short played by Ryan Gosling , an android or how they call them in this world "Replicant".  K is a member of the LAPD tasked with finding and 'Retiring' other rogue replicants, the people and replicants tasked with this job are called Blade Runners. When retiring one said replicant he finds a truth that shouldn't have been found and so the story begins. I quite enjoyed this film i'm sure enough to say its top 5 for me.
